The topic will vary, allowing for the expertise of professors and the emerging
information in the field. It could be taught either semester. Examples are,
Collective Behavior, Cultural Anthropology, Gangs. Students may only take a total
of two special topics selected from SOC 293 or SOC 493. This is a writing intensivecourse. Students may take a total of two special topics selected from SOCI2309 or
