Description
This course is an introduction to the ways in which culture shapes an individual�s psychological experience. This course will focus on the psychological, social, and cultural issues that influence the perceptions and development of persons living in America. This course also intends to expose students to the experiences of those individuals without social privilege that are often marginalized, oppressed, misunderstood, or discriminated against. Topics to be covered in this course include (but are not limited to): race, racism, social privilege, social identity, sexual orientation, ability, and religious orientation.
