Description

This course gives an overview of database systems. It covers conceptual modeling with emphasis on the relational model. ACCESS and ORACLE will serve as the principal relational DBMS programs. Selected micro DBMS software programs will be evaluated using magazine reviews (InfoWorld, PC Magazine, Byte, Software Digest). Animportant segment of the course is DBMS team project.
