Description
Organic chemistry I is the study of aliphatic hydrocarbons and their derivatives.
This course emphasizes the functionality of different classes of organic compounds,
isomerism, nomenclature, reaction mechanisms, and methods of preparation.
Three lecture hours and one three-hour laboratory period each week.
